CAR Anti roll bar / stabilizer

Stabilizer: common defects and their signs

  1. Breakage or deformation.
    • Metal knocking during driving on uneven surface.
    • Excessive car body tilting at braking and cornering.
    • Car spontaneously pulls to one side during driving along a straight line.
    • Increased car body roll during cornering.
  2. Abrasive wear of stabilizer surface in places of fastening to the car body.
    • Knocking of the suspension during driving.
    • Excessive screeching sound at braking and cornering.
    • Car instability during manoeuvring.

How to repair and replace stabilizer?

If the car is used on roads with high-quality surface, the stabilizer bar breaks down rarely. But on the car with 200,000 km mileage, the component may wear, which is indicated by reduction of its diameter in the places where it is fastened to the car body. The stabilizer can be deformed or broken as a result of a road accident or an intense impact caused by running over a pothole during driving on the bumpy road, and also in conditions of extremely low temperature.

Component repair lies in restoration of its form by unbending. But this option is possible only in case of insignificant stabilizer deformation. In case of more serious damage or breakage, the component is to be replaced.

Generally, the procedure of stabilizer replacement for any car involves removal of the broken component together with the links, the bar and the bracket, and further installation of a new part. Simultaneously, replacement of bushes and their brackets is performed in case of their wear.

But performing this work without corresponding experience and special equipment will be rather difficult. That is why stabilizer replacement is better to perform at a service station.

It is recommended to perform replacement of the stabilizer at a service station.
It is advised to replace stabilizer links and bushes during replacement of the stabilizer.

  3. By type of fastening to the suspension:
    • directly;
    • with the help of links with ball joints.

Anti roll bar / stabilizer Information

Car voltage regulator is an electronic device that provides a stable output voltage despite changes in amplitude of the input voltage in a range. Physically voltage is a controlled transformer. All modern cars are equipped with powerful electronic components: trip computer, alarm system, DVD-players, video recorders and other electronic equipment. However, these components need especially careful attitude. They must be protected from voltage jumps, pulse surge, high-frequency noise and short circuit.

By the way, power surges can occur because of connected high-power current consumers: igniters at the time of ignition, starter, powerful sound system, cooling fans, air conditioners and other similar devices. What are the consequences if you leave the car equipment without necessary protection? Many drivers faced a less trouble – interferences, but many car owners are sorry about failed electric devices.

Automatic voltage regulator serves to prevent such hassles and ensure no-break power. It is not difficult to protect your car. Just plug PVS 100 regulator directly to the battery.

If you want to protect electrical equipment in your car, you need to buy an automatic voltage regulator. However, there is no need to spend your time in specialty shops or service centres.
