How to replace automatic gearbox filter?
Scheduled replacement of the automatic gearbox filter should be performed every 50,000 operational kilometers. The component can break down prematurely because of different reasons, then it should be replaced immediately. As the use of the automatic gearbox with the defective filter is unsafe for the car, it is recommended to always have a spare automatic gearbox hydraulic filters kit.
Together with replacement of the filter you should refill new working fluid and install a new gearbox gasket. All works to be done on the gearbox including filter replacement should be performed only at a service station because they require special skills; mistakes at installation will lead to incorrect work of the automatic gearbox.
